I liked this book but it was a much heavier read than the other two. I felt the female lead had way more screen time than the male lead and would have liked this a bit better balanced. The family dynamics of the female lead were challenging for me as they were so toxic.

this book was great. i love helen hoang and when i started this book i knew it would be different from the others in this series. it wasn’t as light and honestly i loved how she touched on the topics that she did. i also like that we get to see a deeper side of quan that isnt at all seen in the other books. i also just loved anna and was rooting for her the whole time. i guess my one gripe (which honestly feels kind of petty so you can disregard) is that i wish quan had an easier time. like i love this book and am glad it exists in the form it does but simultaneously part of me also wishes his story was a little lighter. might be just me. i love you helen!!!

This book was beautifully written. It was heartwarming and educational in a much-needed way. Glad I was able to read about Anna and Quan's story. This will definitely be a re-read in the future.

still gonna give this book 3 stars bcos i love the MCs buttt i just cant continue to finish this when the side characters incites such deep infuriating rage inside me that i cant bring myself to read one more line from them

i wouldve loved to read more on how Anna and Quan finally get together at the end but w the thing w Anna’s family and “boyfriend” i just… its a no

This was my favorite in the series! It was so raw and emotional. I loved the characters, and I can tell the author's skill is growing. Beautiful
