Nice road trip of three Generations m. Everybody deals with their own challenges, although I felt most sorry for Hope. 

I liked the ending.

This wasn’t marketed as romance to me and definitely isn’t a romance novel.

Hope is stuck in a dead end job and dealing with with a diva, washed up actress mother (Olivia) and a teenage daughter (Dylan) with a hair color that drives her crazy. Dead set on seeing Graceland one more time, Olivia devises a plan and convinces Dylan to drive her across the country. The bait? Olivia knows who Dylan’s father is, a secret her mother has kept for 16 years. Hope goes on a cross country chase to find Olivia and Dylan before they find out the real truth: Hope has been honest with no one, not even herself.

My thoughts:
I loved the whimsy of this book and the antics that take place in a cross country race to the truth. This book tackles some tough content, including suicidal ideation, unconscious bias and homophobia, but the book doesn’t feel too heavy due to the comedy of errors of racing across the US.
