I know both characters being unlikable is part of the point, but I just couldn't tolerate Bram's constant whining.

Page turner until the end where the ending left me wanting a bit more. In my humble opinion, the ending left too many loose ends dangling for a majority of the characters. This was a 5 star book with a 2 star ending. I am hoping the author did this on purpose as I can honestly see a Part 2 out there somewhere....and if there is a sequel book, I would snap it up and read it!

This wasn't bad, but it wasn't as amazing as the hype led me to believe. I thought it was going to be a ghost story, and I'm actually glad it wasn't. I liked the style of the blog/witness story with all the commentary underneath, that's a little different. Ultimately I knew how it would all turn out though, so not a gripping read.

I'd give this book a 2.5 but since I disliked the ending I'm rounding down.

At first I was intrigued by the podcast format, but hearing the story in 4 different voices/timelines became a bit much.

As I was describing the plot to my boyfriend he said "you've read this one already?" - no I did not it's just not unique.

There is no closure in the end and I feel that the author threw as many twists as she could think up of for the last bit.

I really wanted to love Our House but I kind of just liked it. The third star only solidified itself on that last page which I’ll grant did have me say “oh, oh no!” out loud.
I feel like the story just dragged a little bit and I didn’t really feel sorry for any of the main characters-I assume I was supposed to be on Fiona’s side but I just couldn’t bring myself to care about any of it.

It was a good premise though and I’m sure people who are fans of slower cozier mystery/thriller novels would enjoy it more.

Our House was a fun read. A bit too long and the main character Fi too much of a nitwit. But still a fun read.

This would have been excellent with about 100 less pages. It could have been a tight twisty tale but instead the middle was repetitive and tedious. Lots of interesting twists though. And different.

Great book!! I loved the different perspectives through which the story was told! Awesome ending!!

De plottwist op het einde was een beetje alsof er toch nog íets van spanning in het boek moest.

Hm.

I agree with a lot of other reviewers: the book is too long. I was listening on audiobook and at about the halfway point, I almost returned it to the library. After reading some reviews, I decided to actually skip to about the last hour of the audiobook and finished the book without missing much more than filler. The premise is great, the first third is very good, and the ending is pretty decent.
