I enjoyed this book though it took me quite a while to get through and sometimes felt too long (though I appreciated that the ending wasn’t rushed and that the characters’ relationship actually had time to develop and heal from difficulties).
The plot line with Beck’s mom/family did seem a little over the top and random.
But mainly, it was really refreshing to have a romance with a neurodivergent FMC whose ND traits were (mostly) not treated as problems, and I loved the emphasis on trust. It was very relatable to me how Del was frequently interrupted by anxious thoughts, and I loved how Beck was patient and helpful with processing them.
The focus on pain made the spicy scenes more challenging for me personally,
but I will probably read the second book because I liked Cordelia and Victor as characters!

Honestly was expecting more, but not a bad read. About 75% in I started skimming the book because I got bored and wanted it to be over, but I see the potential. The book could have been more fleshed out to make it overall more interesting.

An interesting rewrite of Cinderella. I think that the book was fun. I liked the characters and the plot was interesting. It’s just a fun little romance. My only main issue is that I don’t really like how Beck just knew the lie the entire time. It felt weird and didn’t really make sense in my opinion.

A solid debut for this author and surprised it’s not as popular amongst the billionaire romance lovers out there. I think it’s underrated. If you loved the Twisted Series by Ana Huang, this is for you.
This was a little too 50 Shades and beyond for me.
The storyline is fast paced, there’s some character growth sprinkled in and it’s a semi diverse cast.

Please read the trigger warnings. There are A LOT to protect the reader.

I really loved this book and the relationship between the two main characters. The Cinderella retelling was prevalent in the beginning but seemed to fade out towards the end, but not in a bad way. I also thought there were some parts where I would have liked more detail to help it flow a little more but overall enjoyed the story.

  1.  The male main character August Beckett is HAWT!!
  2.  The smutty story has a plot!!
  3.  I was swooning over the characters and couldn't put this book down!!

This book had me giggling and kicking my feet. I loved the banter that these characters had with each other. I love the book, I adore the author, and I want can't wait for Cordelia's book

My favorite that tropes are:

Age Gap, "My Wife", and One Bed Topics that were represented:

Neurodiversity, panic attacks, anxiety

when i tell you i DEVOURED this book im not kidding. i read it all in one sitting, i lost sleep to finish it. once i was done i recommend it to all my friends and made them read it too. this was such an amazing debut book for the author, it was well written and captured my attention the whole time.

there are so many books that claim to have neuro divergent characters but this book had such ACCURATE and relatable neurodiverse characters and that made me so happy. this book had me giggling and kicking my feet one moment and then 🥵🫠🤤 the next. i mean Beck is just so 🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻 i will absolutely be reading the next book when it comes out (Rapunzel Is Losing It will be released May 31st😉) and ill probably reread CIFI beforehand
