I didn’t hate this one but i cared about almost all, except the romance. There was no chemistry for me and the main h was not all that likable. Overall the story had some problems and the writing wasn’t my favorite(the sex scenes were not my cup of tea).
Now what I liked was the relationship Tristen built with the boys, even though it might have been a bit unrealistic.

Better than The Stopover by far; still a bit insta-lovey for me, but the additional layers of a widow and kids rounds it out for me. It was a bit annoying that FMC kept saying MMC was “too young” when they’re both in their 30’s - when really she’s just a few years older than he is. It would’ve been a better dead horse to beat if he was in his early or mid 20’s, but I digress.
this one is so freakin good
This book had me more emotional in the third act than the first and honestly with good reason. The way Tristan goes from being a carefree single guy to gravitating towards a single mom and despite the rocky as hell start with her kids, get to the point where they’re defending him to her and speaking up for him, if warmed my heart so much

Such a great read!!! Read this right after finishing Stopover and gosh I had hard time focusing in the beginning. I was still hungover on the previous book that my mind was just not giving it a chance. However, I kept reading and man I loved this story as much if not more than Stopover. I hope the series continue - I would jump on it in a heartbeat.
this was good but also like very much average. banter was pretty good, there were parts that made me smile when the author was trying to be cheeky. spice was average.
i feel like i don’t need to read the other two books in the series because Swan is honestly just writing regular ass sex with some good dirty talking bits in. the repetitive lines of “my sex” between this one and the first book gave me an eye rolling headache.
not sure i’ll continue the series because they’re literally nothing special - there’s not enough in any of these characters to make the c-average writing & storyline any more spectacular.
