I really liked this book…until about 85% in…then the heroine started annoying me and it turns out her children were smarter than she was . Other than that, Tristan Miles was a DELIGHT :)

Tristan runs the mergers and acquisitions for his family company. He wants to buy Anderson media as he knows this company is running very low on funds.
Claire agrees to meet with Tristan after weeks of phone calls asking for a meeting. She knows what he wants but she doesn’t want to think about it as this company her late husband dream and built from the ground up and for their sons and she has been running it the last 5 years since his death.
At first sight Claire thought Tristan was very sexy but also arrogant. Claire outright refused Tristan’s offer and basically called him every name in the book and stormed out of the meeting. Several days later he called her to makes sure he was ok as he didn’t feel right about how they left things. She was shocked when he asked her out on a date. She once again refused and hung up on him. Several weeks later her assistant got her to attend conference in France. The first speaker at this conference was Tristan. From the start they budded heads. Finally towards the end of the week he was about to weaken her resistance and they had the best night in bed after agreeing this will only last while they are in France. Now they are back into the real world and she keeps turning him away every time he tried to convince her to give them ago.
I love Tristan and his heart of gold. I laughed and cried a lot while reading this book. I love the Mile brothers and and I can’t put the book down.

If you are a sucker for single parent romances, this is one for you.

This is a good man if I’ve ever read one.

Almost perfect

This book is so close to being perfect. I really want to give it 5 stars, but the 4th act break up almost ruins the whole story. It feels like it was forced in for some last minute drama. Him wanting to adopt the kids is a strange reason to fight when the bigger issue is that he tried to make a life altering decision without talking to her privately first. The real conflict was right there, but they never address it and go after some weird "adoption" argument instead. Otherwise, great book.

I am not sure how T.L. Swan did it, but I was laughing out loud while reading this book. This is my first book from this author, and I don't think it will be the last. I have not read the first in the series, and I am looking for after I finish this review.

It's long, as in 450 pages that I read in one sitting, other than getting up to get another cold package of Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. Yeah, I enjoyed it.

Claire is a widow with three boys and now runs her late husband's media group, Anderson Media, and it is not doing well financially. She finally gives into a meeting with a competing media group, Miles Media, and Tristan Miles dares to offer to buy the company right then and there. Claire refuses and walks out of the room. She even turns in down for a date a few hours later.

Move a few months later, Claire is in France on a Mind Retreat, but she is there to clear her head and just relax. But the opening guest speaker is none other than Tristan Fucking Miles. She attempts to leave, and Tristan recognizes and calls her out to sit down in front of everyone, and she just walks out of the room.

Tristan is an asshole and comes off overbearing, and he gets what he wants. But he does grow or let down his facade the more he pursues and takes care of Claire and her three sons (the pranks they pull on him are hilarious). It's a messy story with lots of starts and stops, but it felt realistic in terms of relationships.

Overall, it was a fun read. The banter was great. Surprisingly, the number of pages for the sons didn't bother me and forced the main characters to show other parts of themselves, which I thought was a good move. Both characters fight to keep what they want but are willing to compromise.

There is a ridiculous amount of sex and the use of motherfucker that only harks back to SNL for me. I am not one for a MILF romance, but I enjoy it. I usually don't enjoy children on the page of a romance, but if the author does it well, I tend not to mind it.

Tropes: Enemies to Lovers, MILF, Family

I received an ARC from Netgalley and Montlake for an honest review.

Absolutely no notes i loved this man with my whole chest.

Harry is the best character though
