Good plot, well-written but I was handicapped by not finding any of the characters the least bit likeable - hence 3 stars.

I love this book for way it captures true friendship. Two main characters grew side by side, became friends, and despite living separately for long years, never forgot about each other. Such a friendship is unique even in the world of literature. In addition one can almost hear the sound of music while reading this book.
