This was just fine. I liked two stories okay, one not at all, and one very much. It was a sweet holiday read, but not a lot of substance...

Snow and Mistletoe - I wanted this book for the sole reason of Kasie West being an author in it because she is one of my favorite authors. Of course, this short story didn't disappoint! I loved how Amalie and Sawyer were brought together at the airport and they got to know more about each other, and fell for each other either even more or for the first time, in that manner. I thought the gift idea was so cute and even though it was a very quick story and romance, I loved every bit!

Working In A Winter Wonderland - This was such a cute story! I loved how it brought attention to Hanukkah during the Christmas season because it's not something that is talked about often. Maxine was well-developed and I felt bad for her when Heath turned out to be a jerk because she seemed confident in that potential relationship, but she seemed crushed afterwards. However, she seemed more at ease and herself around Avery and they fit better and were way cuter.

The Magi's Gift - Another great story in this book! Melissa de la Cruz did a great job at showing privilege and how the greatest gift is true love. I really enjoyed how Brenden and Kelsey's relationship was formed and how they both sacrificed one of their greatest possessions for each other's gift because it showed how much they cared for each other that they would do anything to show they cared. The addition of the rich kid friend groups showed that you don't have to be rich to have wealth in other forms and was a great read!

Grounded - Out of all the stories I read in this book, this one was my least favorite. However, that doesn’t mean that I didn’t like it, because I truly did, but it just wasn’t as great as the other ones. I loved how Nic Stone included both racial diversity and a female-female romance because it made it special and unique from the other stories. Leigh and Harper’s foundation of friendship and their realizations together made them a great pairing, but I don’t know how the romantic relationship between the two felt too forced. I did love the scavenger hunt through the airport and felt that the clues came from Leigh’s heart and she wanted to impress Harper.

Meh... only the first story by Kasie West was worth reading. If you want Christmas themed short stories, read Let It Snow or My True Love Gave To Me instead.

Four short Christmas-y stories, but the only one I liked was the first one by Kasie West (Snow and Mistletoe). 4 stars for hers and 2 stars for the others. I’ll have to check into Kasie West’s other works.

Great stories

The Kasie West story was my favorite but honestly she could write a book about frogs and I would probably love it. All four stories need to be turned into hallmark movies!

I need to stop reading anthologies because there's always a few I don't mesh well with. In this case, the only story I really enjoyed was by Kasie West. The second story had an unbearable narrator and a sudden five page romance. The third had promise but was unrealistic. The fourth and final story seemed too convenient and we had no build up or exploration of potential feelings which was also a short coming of the second story.

This book of four, Christmas-ish stories was far from ground breaking. However, it was a fun and sweet escape, not unlike the Christmas season itself.

This was adorable. Exactly the winter snowy read you didn't even know you needed. It's four stories, not connected in any way and each show a different side to the holiday season.

I loved the mix of different stories. Of course, the first one is my favorite and by one of my favorite authors. The second one gives the typical push at consumerism with an adorable story. The third one was the only one I didn't love - it was a story told too many times. The fourth one was my 2nd favorite and was also adorable.

I wish I'd had this one in December. Absolutely adorable quick read.

*I just read Kasie West’s book*
I will probably go back and read the other 3 novellas but I wanted to share my thoughts about the first one before I forget. This was a reread and it was worth it. I still love it as much I did 2 years ago when I read it the first time. It is a little bit insta-love since it’s a novella but it’s still swoon-worthy, at least to me.
