I wanted to love this book, I really did. Some parts of it were amazing. I laughed at the banter and quick wit (the pizza place scene was amazing), but others fell short or seemed cheesy and forced. This book had a good message and so much potential, but it fell short.
While this wasn't my favorite from this author, I admire her time and effort in creating a story which is not something that I could do in a million years.

This was a heartbreaking story but will leave you smiling. I enjoyed meeting the Calloway family and look forward to the future books in the series.
This was really cute. The plot flowed very well. I would've liked more follow up on Tag's business. I did feel like there were a lot of side characters that were sometimes hard to keep up with but overall a good read. On to book two.
Perfectly titled!! Running out of women to hook up with Tag Calloway decides to use an online hookup app to find his next woman for the moment, but when Maddie shows up at the bar as his intended score things do not go the way they are supposed to. Maddie's insecurities make the two a very unlikely pair, but throw in that she is a single mom and Tag is completely out of his element. When sparks fly can these two get over their own hurdles to find their HEA? Or will this be a match that never happens? With adorable characters that just warm the reader's heart this was a wonderful story. Overcoming obstacles and finding inner strength not only shines with both characters but leaves the reader with a smile on their face. Cannot wait to read about the rest of the Calloway clan.

Nonsensical plot and characters. I hate that the main emotion I felt while reading this was annoyed.

Samantha Christy books never disappoint. Unlikely Date is about bad boy Tag who is found on a blind date with sweet single mom Maddie. They know who each other were but never imagine they would have such a connection until that night. You will love to hate Tag for many parts of the book and feel for Maddie's struggles. Seeing them grow and evolve together will warm your heart. They were a great introduction to this new series.
great story
Excellent read! Maybe not in public though due to all the feels, unless you are with more than a few tears.

This was just so bad. I'm so mad at myself. I'm begging authors to pick one plotline and just stick to it. We don't need to play oppression olympics in books all the time. We especially don't need to main characters try and outdo the other with who has the more miserable life. I didn't even know who half the people were mentioned in the first 40 pages and I truly don't know if I was supposed to care or not. This was just a waste of time.
