Now THIS is what I got into these novels for. Drow bullshit. Convoluted schemes. Revisiting past traumas. The narrative having actual consequences. Viscous, brutal elf-pain. Again, is it quality writing? No absolutely not. But I'm having fun and that's all that matters.
