I really enjoyed this book, some things were pretty obvious from book 1 but there was a couple of twists I didn’t see coming which was nice. Things were left on a cliffhanger and I’m pissed that the other books aren’t released yet because I want to keep reading!

Honestly, the second book gave me a headache. Everyone's lying but somehow still a 'good person', it’s getting exhausting. I think this is where I tap out.

What the ever loving fuck did I just read?????
This literally is like a bad Telenovela especially with that twist at the end that she has a twin sister like what ever loving fuck do you mean there’s still so many questions but then the writing is kind of super bad in a way that like there’s no nuance to it it’s either like secrets that don’t make sense or just spouted out like you can’t guess what’s about to come up because we don’t know anything you know what I mean like the rules keep changing there’s no subtle hints or lead up it just like boom here’s a new fact for you
What do you mean has to go do those challenges and probably die what the fuck that’s so dramatic she could be free like I get that part but all of you simultaneously lie to her when she’s just starting to trust you like that doesn’t make any fucking sense
And Hollis???? That was so fucking dumb. He’s literally… Don’t be so fucking real with me right now. He literally hates her bones and then we get his POV and I love her. I love her. I want her, but I can never have her and I’m the tortured one in this situation.
Literally, every single one of their problems would be solved if they just talked to one another
Maybe that’s what’s bothering me about it. It’s literally just a series based off of miscommunication.

First, she wouldn’t tell anyone what her monster is, her parents wouldn’t tell her what she was destined to know, severi doesn’t tell her literally anything but just expects her to keep up, now onyx is keeping secrets and Hollis is keeping secrets and I am 97% positive that Hollis problem would go away if you just bring it up with the brothers you know like they all say they have each other back but you all seem as though it’s every man for himself if I’m being honest
I have decided yes that is what the problem is for certain like I can see myself liking the idea of the story and the world building is pretty good if I’m being honest but literally so much of the plot would go away if they just fucking talked to each other and weren’t so damn cryptic
Even Annie’s mate he switched sides, but didn’t tell us why all we heard is that were brainwashed but OK show me or tell me literally anything that supports your claim and I’m sure it’s coming but like it could’ve been literally right away
Also, I’m just gonna straight up say it that sex potion scene was fucking stupid. Like the author couldn’t figure out a way to bridge the gap between the characters because she put so much time and effort into making Gwen say that she can’t trust anyone she hast to rely on herself, blah blah blah blah but then realized she needed something to change it quick
And you know what else I’m going back to Hollis for a second, last book we heard that he said after his parents died Rhodes became nice and he became bitter and now the script is flipping that he’s always been nice and it’s all rochelle‘s fault???? Huh??? And what fire???
And this is such a small detail, but she literally met nibbles for like 0.4 seconds, did absolutely nothing with this dog literally has roads and the vet clinic taking care of it for however long that has been going on, and then you’re telling me she shows back up and the dog is losing its mind because she’s back??? This dog does not know that she’s the owner be so for real with me right now.
I’m probably going to read book 3 because what do you mean she has a twin and what do you mean that twin is now going to ruin Gwen‘s life?
And I don’t understand what severi was saying at the end like make them fall for you instead or make the bond to you instead I don’t get it and it doesn’t really seem possible but who knows with this book at this point
