Gwen is trapped in the cell and put on trial by onyx's dad. The forced new alfa supreme after he forced a coupe and murdered the last one (still no one has figured that out yet?)
He's working with the three visn, specifically Serveri, gewns vian-mate.in this book we do find out that Serveri is being controlled by his father the king, whom we have yet to meet on paper, and that's why he's tortured Gwen on and off over the years. He does secretly lover her, but he's trapped in being controlled.
Her other mates, Onyx, Finnegan, Rhodes, Hollis and Aleksander are all in this various battles.
Onyx, decides at the end of the book to take Gwen's place in the trials because he can't live with her dying again. This means he's removing himself from her life completely and may die. Our of love for our girl of course. He's asked Hollis to protect her.
Hollos is still pretending to hate our girl, and is an idiot. He is basically under a blood pact with Rochelle to do her boxing because her mate, his old best friend died? Were going into book 3 with Hollis being miserable, wanting to just love Gwen, but bring stick pretending he's woth Rochelle who is going to force him to propose to her. What a mess.
His twin, fin, is finally out of a coma he was in most of this book and is company team Gwen!
Rhodes and Alek are both trying to rebuild your relationships with Gwen going into book 3.
The final cliffy in book 3 is Severi is sending Gems long list twin, gorgina, in to pretend she's Gwen and make life even more miserable somehow? Where or gwenie is all death, apparently Georgina is all life, guys will see if the guys can tell them apart or not.
This book was quite plot heavy and felt like honestly we could wrapped up a few of these drama points going into book 3. Wrapping things up from this tangled web is going to tough, and I'm hoping things don't feel rushed in that book like they did in this one. Overall I give this book 3.5/5

Okay what the actual hell? I rated this book less than the first because I hate the plot point of like the MC being kidnapped or hidden away from the MMC’s. I will say that this book had SO much more twists than the first book did. I know the next book doesn’t come out until the end of March and that’s honestly okay, because I don’t know if I will even want to read it. I just get frustrated because I ALSO hate the fact that Onyx is going away for SIX months, the whole pact that Hollis has going on. I also kind of thought that something was going on with Severi or whatever his name is, and I was totally right. I just don’t know that I can take more of the plot lines.
