honestly way more of a banger than i expected it to be. very douglas adams vibes but eighteenth century colonialism edition. jonathan swift would have had a moment writing for doctor who in the eighties. also some very interesting subtext and a lot more nuance than i expected. fun (if fever dream-esque) read.

It had it’s moments. I could see the satire and what it was towards however, I got bored. Frequently. I found myself just reading but reading to move on. Some parts, like when he would talk about new places was fun. I just wasn’t really interested.

The beginning was really good, but as the story progressed, I got less and less interested in the plot.. Definitely would drop her but it's for my exam so I had to suffer.
