I do love this series and everything is tying together so well. I love the characters and the MYSTERY IS COMING TOGETHER!

The only thing I will say is I feel this trilogy so far could at least have been pulled into one or two books, if everything was condensed a little more. That’s not a huge deal though because hey more content!

It was so great to find this second book in the series still held it’s own in terms of excitement and captivation! You definitely cannot read it as a stand-alone story without cause for confusion, as the plot picks up within merely a matter of weeks from the timeline of the first book’s ending. But if you do read Book One, I think you’ll be glad you stuck around for Book Two!! Happy sleuthing!

I'm kind of interested in the plot of this, but I find the characters really unlikable. I wish I felt more of a connection to Stevie or any of her friends. I find David completely annoying. I think I will continue on the next one because I'm curious about the twist returns, but I'm not sure if I would completely recommend this series.

David’s dad was obvious since the beginning. I liked this book more than the first because I never suspected the reveal.

My only complaint are Stevie and David’s interactions. They were repetitive and the drama was dragged out.

WHO. Who allowed me to binge reread book 1 and then read book 2 all within the span of 48 hours when BOOK 3 WON'T BE OUT FOR 4 MONTHS? I thought, oh, 4 months, that's not that long, it'll be here soon, it's not long enough to forget things between books, but now I have to wait more than 2,928 hours to get my hands on book 3 after reading the first 2 within 48 hours. I was going to end this with a dramatic KILL ME but that seems a bit too on the nose, so... idk... [insert grumpy Nate line here].

less David, more Mudge plz
