Wooow, it’s hard for the second book in a trilogy to really hook me, but I’m hooked! I didn’t even realize I was being left on a cliff hanger until I turned the page and saw the acknowledgments.

This book kept me second guessing everything, and I’m very excited to jump into the third book!

I liked this a bit better than the first book, and the ending made me excited to start the third book! Not the best mystery or character development I’ve ever read, but I’m hooked on the series nonetheless.

My feelings about this book are so conflicted. There's so much about it that I absolutely love. I love the mystery at the school, both the one in the past and the present. I love Stevie, Janelle, and Nate sooo much. I love the representation in disability and queerness!

But I really really don't like the main love interest David. I hate his dad. If their entire plots were gone from the book I would not miss them.

I did struggle a little to keep all the background characters together. I followed everything in the past pretty well but struggled a little with some of them in the present.

I thought the new characters Fenton and Hunter were interesting I'm not really sure how I feel about them yet.

I will read the next, although a little begrudgingly. Love Stevie and the mysteries, hate David and their weird romance and his gross dad.
