Disappointing execution of an interesting concept, all of the potentially intriguing parts left unexplored. The novelty of the premise of American War wears quickly; what is left are the usual tropes of war novels, with little literary substance in between. The writing left much to be desired, although progressed slightly towards the end. It reads more like a move script than a novel.. keep an eye out for the Netflix version in the near future. Entertaining, some what of a page turner, but this one will be forgotten quickly.
