Good Stuff.
“So often,” Jackaby said, “people think that when we arrive at a crossroads, we can choose only one path, but—as I have often and articulately postulated—people are stupid. We’re not walking the path. We are the path. We are all of the roads and all of the intersections. Of course you can choose both.”

What fun! I have wanting to read this since I finished the first one and now I want to read the third! I'm enjoying reading a little bit more about Abigail and why she left to seek her own adventures. There is a hint at a possible romance but I was hoping for a romance with Abigail and Jackaby but I don't think it will happen. It was still a wonderful read, I loved Jackaby. His lines made me laugh and he always has such witty dialogue. I wonder though why isn't the narrator of the book Jackaby? Don't get me wrong I love Abigail and she is very interesting. But I feel since this series does center on Jackaby and that he is her employer it would be so much more intriguing to read from his perspective.

Short Review: OMG. Seeing Jennie go apeshit, well worth the read. The whole dinosaur thing thou, that was kinda boring, i know it had to be in the story for things to happen, but dang, boring. I feel like Abbie grew in this book, took it upon herself to get stuff done and kept Jackaby in line, kinda :D i was very sad by some deaths! i just really liked it :D
Misc.
Book Boyfriend: Jackaby :D
Best Friend Material: Abbie!
Even better than the last installment. Reminds me of the Monstrumologist series, only significantly less gruesome.
It was a bit of a slow read at first, but once I got into it it was pretty good. The first one was better, but the last page ended with the promise of a third, so perhaps that will redeem the series a little better.
