I love the characters even more after reading this one. Jackaby is such a quirky character and I really like me some quirky. The romance between Charlie and Abigail is so sweet and I just love them together.
The plot had some interesting twists and turns that I wasn't expecting. It was definitely a page turner for me although I did try to read it slower at first to savor it a bit more. It was fun to see Abigail get so excited about the dinosaur find.

MAD ABOUT NELLY FULLER, THAT IS ALL.
This was much darker than the first book, but still good.

Not quite as good as the first book for me, but I still really enjoyed it!

I don't know if I'm just slow, but I have never been able to guess how these books will end. This book definitely did not disappoint, and the next book in this series is going to be epic. I need it now.

“So often,” Jackaby said, “people think that when we arrive at a crossroads, we can choose only one path, but—as I have often and articulately postulated—people are stupid. We’re not walking the path. We are the path. We are all of the roads and all of the intersections. Of course, you can choose both.”
