I absolutely loved everything about this - loved Addie and Beckett, the families, the town, the suspense involving Addie's family and the culty side of things. It was just perfect! Definitely my favourite in the series so far (although all 3 have been amazing!) and one of my favourite books of the year so far. 🥰

CW: domestic abuse, physical abuse, gun violence, kidnapping

I really enjoyed Beckett and Addie. I really like the communication these characters have. I like how they seem to ground each other and let each other be who they need to be. I really enjoyed how Beckett and Addie are together. I found Addie to be an admirable character full of curiosity and love. Beckett had come home to make amends to his family after receiving some new trauma at his latest medical posting. He had to learn to manage some of the long-reaching trauma the family had endured and learn how to move on.
