My favorite book of the series thus far! I have admired Addie throughout this series, and I admired her even more after getting her entire story. Beckett was an amazing hero, and these two had the perfect slow-burn romance. I cannot wait for the next adventure from this world...this is quickly becoming one of my favorite CC series.

Okay so beck and Addie. They are my least favorite of the series but I still totally love them. They felt a bit more rushed which is weird ti say considering they are all very quick love stories.

first book of this series to get a 5 star from me! I read it literally in 24 hours I couldn’t put it down. Addie and Beckett’s stories drew me in from the start and I absolutely loved these two together!! I couldn’t get enough of them. With the trauma they both went through, they were the perfect person for each other to lean on and learn from. I don’t know how the next book will ever live up to this one.
Addie has escaped from her extremist father. The same cult-like family/community that Everly escaped from years ago. She’s been living in Hayes’ old house, trying to live her life how she was never allowed to. Trying to be normal. Beckett is the eldest Easton boy, who recently moved back home after Hadley’s attack. He was always on the go, moving from different country to the next, always traveling, providing aid as a doctor. He’s been running ever since his younger sister Shiloh’s kidnapping. No one knows he’s moving back home not only because of Hadley’s attack, but also because of his own trauma he endured. He ends up moving into Hayes’ old house with Addie as her roommate. He helps Addie overcome her fear of a lot of things. She starts to feel comfortable with his presence, etc. He learns al little bit of what Addie’s been through and vows to himself he will help her love her life in the most normal way possible. He begins to develop feelings for her, and she for him. When Addie has a few run-ins with her father or other members of that community, Beckett can’t hold back. They give each other comfort when needed and she lets him in, although she’s terrified of him leaving her. They’re now together, but Addie is kidnapped. Her father takes her back, and for three days, Beckett doesn’t sleep without her, going crazy with worry. They know her father is the most likely suspect, but they have no probable cause to search his house. Until now. When he and Hayes arrive at his home, they hear a faint gunshot in the distance. They realize Addie is no longer in the house and Allen is conveniently “camping.” They find both of them in the woods by the falls, Addie dangerously close to death from infection. Allen also holds her at gunpoint. They rescue her, Allen is killed in the standoff. Addie is in a coma, and miraculously survives her injuries, sepsis, etc. When she does wake, Beckett asks her to marry him, and they agree they don’t want to spend another day apart. They plan the wedding for a month from then, to allow her to heal. The epilogue shows the morning of their wedding, where Addie tells Beckett that she’s pregnant, and they are both over the moon about it.

Unfortunately I didn’t like it as I liked the first two books, something was missing.
