As per usual, the third book in a saga is always the weakest. It was still a gripping read, and I loved the direction that the author took the novel as far as the plot went. It was inticing and I read through it in no time.
However, I feel that it aggravated some of the problems of the previous novels. It focuses even less on Helen's human life than "Dreamless" and was I the only one who thought the handwave of "school got destroyed" so more classes and no need to maintain the semblance of a normal life required a lot of suspencion of desbelief? . I also thought that, similarly to the last novel, the romance aspects were a little forced, since literally every character ends up happily paired up even when the age difference seems a little weird , and one of the characters' terrible behaviour is still quickly forgiven and forgotten even though it's borderline abusive. And although all of the romantic loose ends were tied up, the author didn't care to tie up all other character archs, leaving the reader with obvious questions. so, I understand why Daphne was lying about Helen's father to the Delos family but... then why Jerry? Did she just pick a random mortal to procreate with since she felt she had to? Did she actually ever care for him, even if it wasn't the love she felt for the other guy? So many questions
