A heart-stopping conclusion to the phenomenal trilogy.

Favourite quote: “They would never be parted again, no matter how long forever turned out to be.”

I love love loved this series. It was all I could think about while I went about my day-to-day. I'd think about it driving to and from work... at work... in the shower... while I ran... It just got stuck in my head! and It still is, I still find myself thinking about it. I might be a little crazed over this series :/

But I have not found a book I quite liked as much as this series since I read The Hunger Games. I could definitely see myself re-reading these.

5 out of 5. I loved the greek mythology theme. In fact I found myself looking up actual greek mythology. I recommend this for anyone who wants to be swept up in a completely different world. :)

I feel like the ending was rather hastily done and that some things were missing, but overall I was really relieved that the series ended the way it did. I wasn't sure that Helen was going to get her happy ending, but for the most part she managed one.

Sad to see this series go.

Review coming soon.

I have waited so long to finish this trilogy, and it did not disappoint. This may just be a romantic young adult fantasy, but Angelini adds so many creative touches that it really was a fun read. Granted, some plot developments, like Matt's role in the war, were obvious from the beginning, but I was genuinely surprised with the story's outcome. Helen and Lucas's inability to express their love for each other was frustrating, as was Helen's continued feelings for Orion. I also feel like Matt's death was not properly mourned at the end of the novel. Helen mentions that Ariadne will never be the same, but that is it. Matt was so sweet! There should have been more about him in the end. Angelini's attempt at humor with the Delos clan was a little flat. One of the few things this series lacks is truly funny characters (sorry Hector.) I like books that switch among different points of view, and this book does a good job of focusing on Helen's thoughts, but at the same time giving us a fuller picture of the story through Daphne and Lucas.

I just love the Greek mythological tone of this series. One of the reason I loved this final installment is the flashbacks to Helen and Lucas's other lives, especially the Trojan one. Having read the Iliad and the Aeneid, it was fun to figure out which modern character correspondes to which ancient one.

One of my favorite YA fantasies, perhaps only second to [b:City of Bones|256683|City of Bones (The Mortal Instruments, #1)|Cassandra Clare|https://d202m5krfqbpi5.cloudfront.net/books/1309277410s/256683.jpg|2267189] because of a lack of humor.

I loved it! I felt like it was a great ending to a great series. I cannot believe the growth and story that accompanies this series! Angelini did an amazing job here and she NEEDS to keep writing.
