It's not a great sign when a 9 volume series finishes and I immediate have to go find an explainer online to make sure I understood the ending. Maybe it's because the previous volume of special issues derailed my momentum, but this ending fell unfortunately flat for me.

Awesome end to the series, I was very satisfied which is not something one can say about comics nearly enough. Full 5/5 stars for both this particular volume and the entire series as a whole, what a great story.
My rating is for the whole series. I really enjoyed reading this series and liked the art.
One star off as story felt convoluted at times, I didn't always get what was going on, but I think the conclusion cleared up any of my confusions. I do wish Vol 8 was interwoven in the main arcs, but glad it was there to help clarify the history a bit either way.

WELL DONE!!! I know I just binged this series but I already want to reread it. It kept me constantly guessing and engaged. A+++ character work and development. The art is STUNNING from start to finish. Desperate, hopeful, and unforgettable. All the stars and kudos!!
I blazed through the back half of this series over the course of three hours today. I don't know that this final volume is necessarily the one that made it break through to my "fundamentally altered me" fifth star, or if it's the series overall as a complete unit, but goddamn if it didn't do that for me. A triumph of storytelling.
