A book I read as a child, but decided to re-read in a different format.....Audiobook. Enjoyed it as much as before. Such great life lessons about friendships, love, loss, growing up and how life marches on.

I am not sure if I read this as a child but it still is a wonderful book many years later!

Jack (age 4) and I just finished two months of reading a chapter every night I did bedtime. This is still a classic tale even though the language is older and I definitely substituted some words here and there for a four year old. Can confirm "Charlotte died alone" still hurts. Also, we skipped the chapter where Fern essentially gets a psychiatric assessment because that seemed unnecessary 😅. It seems weird not to give a classic a five star rating but there are just a few things that didn't age well.

This rating is purely based on my perception as a 20-something adult when reading this book. I remember loving this book as a kid. It was my first "chapter" book I owned. I don't recall if it was the first "chapter" book I read. I read it so much that the cover fell off. I taped that cover on many times with Scotch tape.
