The final book in this thrilling trilogy and it was everything I was hoping for!

For Carter, a man used to being in control, coming back home throws him off kilter. Carter never had trouble leaving his family even when his job could have taken away everything or everyone he knew. That is until he fell in love and realized that his love for Theo and June could be used as a liability and his loves could be killed because of what he does. He struggles a lot with second guesses and life choices, it's very un-Carter-like, but also necessary. His self realization hits him hard, but made the whole story feel complete.

Theo has come a long way from the wild man we first meet in the jungle. His soul is connected to the earth and his heart is wide open, which was a beautiful thing to read, but more than anything I love how he fit with both June and Carter. His submission, for normally being so powerful was a great twist, while he was also was so gentle with June. Theo stole my heart.

As for June she is the sweetener that binds these strong men together. Her passion hasn't changed from book one, where she isn't afraid to go toe to toe with Carter and she will seek out Theo to curl up with when he needs it most. She’s the perfect blend they both need.

This trilogy was a great addition to the Midnight Dynasty series and this last book especially had a great reunion with all the siblings coming out to support Carter.

Tropical Storm, the third and final book in Carter, June, and Theo's story was phenomenal! This trio has been through so much together but the love they feel for one another absolutely leaps off the pages. Skye and Amelia have given us characters that will resonate with the reader for a long time.
These characters wrapped around my heart, at times I shouted at Carter to stop pushing them away, I felt June's pain as she witnessed her lovers struggling, and Theo made me want to give him a hug and remind him he is not a sinner.
I want to go back to the beginning of Midnight Dynasty and revisit and fall in love again, with the Morelli’s and the Constantine’s.
I feel invested in their stories, I live it with them, feeling their love and passion, the inherited hate of these feuding families, the battles and the victories.
The thing about Midnight Dynasty is that you dream it as you read it.

Tropical Storm is an emotional roller coaster you didn’t know you needed!

My Review ⤵️

There is nothing better than when two talented writers collaborate and bring all their gifts to the table. Skye Warren and Amelia Wilde together are magic and then add in the Morellis and it only gets better.

This is Carter Morelli’s story, and to say it has all the things we want in a romance is an understatement. We are picking up right where book two left us hanging, and then it takes off running. The action, the emotion, the spice, oh the spice, but honestly I think my favorite part was watching the Morelli family come together. Yes they are a family with questionable responses to situations but at the end of the day there is nothing they won’t do for their family.

This is book three, so go back and make sure you read the first two, and then sit down and just enjoy the ride. Carter, Theo and June make you look at love a little differently and make you believe in it more than you already do.

This is the third book in the Deserted Island Trilogy and is focused on the intricate relationship between Carter and his family, which I found captivating. Carter's mistrust made it challenging for him to accept help from his brother Leo, despite Leo's desperate attempts to support him. Nevertheless, the siblings' unbreakable bond provided unwavering support and acceptance, which I found heartwarming. The spy/mole subplot added an exciting element to the story, even though the resolution left something to be desired. I appreciated the well-developed characters, especially Theo's obsession with sin and corrupt cities, which added an intriguing layer to the plot. June's role in keeping the family together was truly inspiring. It was a satisfying finale that beautifully illustrates the power of love and family bonds.

A beautiful ending to the chaotic force of nature that is Carter, June, and Theo!

Action packed, angsty, romantic, suspenseful, spicy af, and at times so sweet and beautiful, this story has it all!

At times it felt a bit rushed or super fast paced but overall it was just as good as the rest of the books in the series and the Midnight Dynasty world!

Everything comes to a head when the person after Carter stops at nothing to get to him and he will have to decide if he can let the people he loves get close, or if they are better off far away from him. Full of heat and danger and a great ending.

The final installment of the Deserted Island series turned up the intensity to ten. It was fast paced with drama and suspense felt throughout as the outside threat closed in. I also enjoyed the Morelli family dynamic. They love hard and protect their own. An entertaining read.

One of the things I loved about this retelling was the way the author mixed the wild jungle with the concrete jungle and we got to experience them in both settings. How they managed, survived, and grew from it all was the best part of this journey.

And I'm sad that it ended.

An MMF romance that not only worked but struggled together. There were doubts, fears, and longing expressed through their communication with each other as well as lack of communication with each other and I think it really came to a head in the conclusion.

The suspense was amazing. With the cliffs, the storm, and the final confrontation, I was gripped.

Is there going to be an omnibus? I need an omnibus so I can just binge this again and again in one big book.

I am not ready to say goodbye to Theo.

Overall Grade: ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Tropes: MFM romance; interconnected standalone in a series; LGBTQIA; Erotic Romance; Alpha Hero; AntiHero; Bad Boy Good Girl; Band of Brothers; Billionaire; Close Proximity; Escaping a Killer; Forbidden Love; Tortured Lead; VirginHero; Road Trip; Returning to Hometown

Skye Warren and Amelia Wilde’s Tropical Storm does exactly what’s it meant to do: ends a trilogy in a spectacular fashion. Honestly, the Deserted Island trilogy could have easily been a duet, in my opinion. Carter’s realization about his family’s acceptance, Theo’s reconciliation of leaving the island to stay with June and Carter, and June’s understanding of her place with Carter and Theo (probably the most underdeveloped of these character journeys) could have been resolved in two books along with settling the plot line of the Russian double-agent. Tropical Storm places Carter with his parents and siblings, showing him that acceptance and love are possible in a family of “wolves.”

There is more spice especially with Carter and Theo consummating their portion of the relationship. In fact, this overshadowed June’s place in this throuple. Thankfully, the resolution of this story and its trilogy is sweet, and it rectifies this oversight.

Did I enjoy reading Tropical Storm? Yes. Did it feel like it was doing anything new? Not necessarily. I will always read Skye Warren; I’d simply love to read stories from her that aren’t always a trilogy.
