I'm screaming. I'm sobbing. Oh my gosh—I cannot believe that ending. I haven’t felt this destroyed by a book in a long time.
Okay—drying my tears now...

This book was absolutely phenomenal—if the emotional damage isn't proof enough. I was so deeply connected to the characters that their struggles, their heartbreaks, and their triumphs felt like my own. Takerian has a gift for crafting raw, authentic emotions that leap off the page and settle into your soul.

The balance in this book was perfection: character growth that felt real and earned, plot progression that kept me hooked with every twist, and world-building that was immersive without ever being overwhelming. Every detail added richness to the story without taking away from the emotional core.

This author deserves so much more recognition. If you're a fan of emotionally intense fantasy with unforgettable characters and a story that lingers long after the final page, do yourself a favor and read this book. Now I just need to recover from this book hangover.

How am I to live now until book 3 comes out? This is pure agony, I tell you

Book 2 had so much more adventure and challenge. You get to follow the FMC through many trials. You also get to see the connection grow between the War Party. Tension is still high in the romantic aspect. A lot of the “I’m no good for you” trope going around.

Pick up right where Rise of the Dawnbringer left off. Prophecy kept a steady pace of adventure and danger. Really enjoyed the remaining trials and how they were so unique.

The found family in this book is top tier! I just want to give them all hugs and be besties with them.

Slow-burn! But I am so excited to see how everything will come together. There is so much delicious tension!

Zura Johnson once again knocked the audio the out of the park with her range of vocals!

It’s such a treat to find a book where I love the main character(s) and the story.
