Beautiful writing by a person at the beginning of her journey. As I am farther ahead, this wasn’t terribly interesting. But if I’d read this at 25 I would think differently.

Simple, soft, and sweet. Looking back, it was an essay collection well done.

what a disappointment. awful, navel-gazey prose from a rich woman complaining about her life using eighth grade level science and mind numbingly simple 'philosophy'. i skipped so many pages, but i read around half probably and it never got better

Big fan of books and essays that mix art and science, so this one was right up my alley. Short essays on glass, mirrors, and light, both as they work scientifically and in a broader metaphorical sense.
