Excellent! ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Read it in less than 24-hours. All the action was up front and the ending fell a little flat for me. Also appreciate the author’s attempt to be inclusive with her characters but saying “a tall Black woman” or “I opened the door to a Black detective” is like an unnecessary detail that should have been shown, not told.

This one had me all the way up until the last chapter and then I was lost. Somebody who has read this, please explain that ending (or lack of ending) to me. I’m so confused.

Firstly, I’d just like to thank the author for not using trauma indelicately but instead with compassion and understanding.

This book was such an incredible read. It gave me AJ Finn / Paula Hawkins vibes - who are two authors I really enjoy!

Leah & McKenna we’re fantastic characters to follow throughout the story. I was intrigued and completely invested in what happened with them.

This was a fast-paced and unputdownable read, i finished it in one sitting. The topic of Domestic Violence was incorporated perfectly. Making this the perfect suspense that shines some light on an important and very raw reality.
