A MUCH better followup to the first Redwall book. It is great to see a direct generational shift in the book. Delving more into the world of Redwall and Mossflower was enlightening.

From my perspective, there was also much less deus ex machina in this story than the previous two books, along with less boneheadedness from the villains.

I was doubtful about the raven storyline at first, but it proved enjoyable by the end. A solid book, and a great dip back into the world of Redwall.
