the squad goes on a side quest and there’s a lot of time dedicated to character development and arcs which made this enjoyable. not as much action as i would have liked and it did feel dragged out and long winded in some spots. overall tho this was a good one

good book

I really, really wanted to 4-star like this book. The characters continued to develop, the plot continued to grow. He side-tracks with another character's story in this book, though, and I got really impatient and bored with this (Pere Callahan). There were some other things that bothered me about this book, but I didn't write them down right away and so forgot them. :(

the way Stephen King continues uncover this world that bleeds into other worlds is so thoroughly entertaining here. only thing I didn't enjoy in these final few books is that I still had so much more reading to do to find out what happens at the end.

Still a lot of fun reading the series, especially as it's getting meta and more weird. You can definitely tell that King has an ending in mind now as we work our way quickly towards it, as opposed to the previous books in the series, which were fun to read, but I'm not sure if we were working towards getting to an ending in those books. With only 2 books to go, I'm excited to see where the series ends up (knowing full well my past experience with some King endings)
