Even a life long feud can be healed by true love

This was a steamy sweet swoony funny heart warming tale about embracing love even when it’s hard. Levi and Annika are perfect together. The story has all the elements for an epic tale - long standing family feud, check, secret friends, check, off the charts chemistry, check, way to finally unite the families and end the feud, double check. Levi is a firefighter and the last single Bailey brother. Annika is a single mom and the only female Haven. The Baileys and Havens have been feuding for 100 years but Levi and Annika secretly became friends in HS and recently restarted their friendship. Secret off limits friendship is the starting framework for their HEA and strong love will sustain them on the rocky journey. The book has a little bit of everything - sweet moments, fan your face sexy, hilarity, a continuing mystery, a long standing feud, quirky townspeople, and a little bit of danger. Levi and Annika’s (and Thomas’) love story has all the feels - expect to laugh, grit your teeth, cringe, growl and of course swoon. The book is well written, with characters with depth and an engaging storyline. Like the first five books in this series, this book includes a number of secondary characters, but rather than being overwhelming or detracting from the main story, these characters are central to the main love story and to the heart of what makes small town Tilikum so wonderful and so hilarious. There is an overarching storyline about the mystery and the Montgomery treasure so these books need to be read in order to get the most enjoyment out of the story. Levi and Annika’s story was a beautiful way to end the series and the feud. The first book in Baileys’ series began with pain and jagged parts and this last book ends the series with healed scars, smooth edges and joy. While this book ends the series, now that a Haven series has been announced, I am excited that we will be visiting Tilikum again.

At last, Levi’s book has arrived. I fell in love with this band of brothers from the first book Protecting You – Asher and Grace’s story.

I’ve always wondered what would happen with Levi. In the last book there were hints of him and Annika, but with the feud between their two families, I wasn’t sure what to expect.

Well, Claire Kingsley did not disappoint us with the last book of the Bailey brothers series.

Levi and Annika made us believe that Romeo and Juliet could have made it happen, had they not been so afraid to show their love for each other in public. The heart wants what the heart wants after all. Levi and Annika wouldn’t let a feud get in the way.

The story was as usual, filled with laughs, interfering families and lots of love and swoon. And Gram Bailey’s animal names *sigh* always gets me.

I enjoyed this story so much, I was completely lost after the last page. I’m patiently waiting to see how the Haven boys turn out. Hint hint to the author.

As Jane Austen said in the quote above: “if a book is well written, I always find it too short”

Take me back to Tilikum please…

Annika and Levi got

“But the truth was, I was hung up on her. And she was the one girl in the world I couldn’t ever have.”

Rewriting the stars is the sixth and final book of the Bailey Brothers series by @clairekingsleybooks ! I have been WAITING for this book! I absolutely adored this entire series but I have been dying to know more about Levi.

This book did not disappoint and went above my expectations! Levi and Annika’s story was a beautiful finale to this series and brought a wonderful conclusion to the Montgomery treasure / Bailey-Haven feud featured throughout the entire series.

This story was well written and I felt like tied up all the loose ends from the other books. And that extended epilogue, we love a time jump with tons of kiddos

I was disappointed with this one. It’s a pet peeve of mine when one of the main characters is a single parent but the kid isn’t really a part of the story. I want to see the love interest fall in love with both the parent and the child. I also felt that a lot of the relationship development was off page before the book even started. The emotional relationship was already developed so I didn’t feel invested in their romance.

The reveal at the end of the answer to the mystery woven throughout the series was cute though a bit underwhelming.

claire wrapped that up so beautifully. cara and logan are still my favorites but I appreciated this story so much. I felt like I was apart of the bailey family. they were all so full of love and understanding, and was willing to go to war for their loved ones. the way they all came together for annika and levi, the way grams loved thomas as if he was her own great grandson, and the way levi took on the role as thomas’s father. the way she wrapped up the mystery of the montgomery treasure made so much sense, it was almost like I could see it as it was playing out. also no 3rd act breakup?? I was already sold. I’m gonna miss my bailey brothers

As expected, the third-act catastrophe continued in the series finale. Regardless, it was a fun read and a great conclusion.

Sad to come to the end of the series, but such a great series. Loved every minute of this book.
