Cute and necessary for people who haven't felt seen in a book before.
I just wished it had been a bit longer so they could explore Ben and Hannah's relationship a bit more.
Other than that, I loved it.

Loved this sm! The characters were so sweet and
I really wish we had more time with Nathan and Ben as a couple as it happened at the very end!
Needed this to get me out of a reading slump :) can’t wait for the movie later this year!!

I cried like 8 times throughout the whole book, as a queer person I think this is a must read the way the author tackles tough situations and still manages to keep the reader captivated the entire time

also btw, this book is the reason why i say "i wish you all the best" all the time. this book wasn't even that spectacular, the phrase just stuck with me.

Such a sweet book! Definitely a confort read even though it has some heavy (emotionally) scenes. Also Mason Deaver It’s your fault im trans now. Thats all im saying hahahaha. Honestly, such a gentle place to start questioning your gender Thank you for writing a safe space for queer people.

Quotes

1. ‘In fact, I don’t think there’s one imperfection. Not the bumps on his chin, the small cut on his cheek that I’m guessing comes from shaving, the slight circles under his eyes. It all feels on purpose. I don’t think Nathan Allan is capable of accidents. He doesn’t seem like the type.”
-Ben page 113

2. “I thought… I thought being their child would be enough for them” -Ben page 128

3. ‘We have so much of our parents in us, sometimes too much. But we can’t help it’ -Ben page 271
medium-paced

Reads very YA so I ended up skipping and skimming large amounts. The dialogue is pretty cringey

What I did enjoy was the story of Benji finding himself, and navigating the hurt their parents caused. It felt healing to read, reflecting on when I was a teen and the support that could’ve made a difference. It’s a sweet story about how Benji heals and accept themselves, and that’s what I took away from this book
