The first part (Brienne’s part) moved a little slow for me. Part 2 (Niall’s part) is when the pace started to pick up and it got interesting - about 40% into the book. This book has a good twist although I do feel like it was revealed a bit too early and I feel like some of the book was a bit predictable, especially if you are a seasoned thriller reader. Overall, I enjoyed this book and was excited to continue reading / finishing once I got to the 40% mark.  Fun and easy read!

All of the horrible things she said and did, it was because she was hurting, and hurt people hurt people.

this book had a grasp on me that i couldn’t shake - it only took 2 days for me to finish it.
from the first page, it had me hooked. the pacing was perfect, the characters felt real, and it was just a perfect book.
the only gripe i have is that
we found out what happened to shane through marisol; i would’ve much rather heard it from his or sam’s perspective — a chapter of hers would’ve been the cherry on top.

otherwise, i wholly love this book and recommend it highly.
