Novella whose main purpose is to introduce Frederick Hawkins, a major character in book #2.
It fell flat for me.

What a darling story! Friends to lovers is my very favorite trope, and to have the beautiful setting of Cornwall only added to this story’s charm. A quick, excellent read!

** I received a free copy of this novella in exchange for an honest review.
