I, sadly, didn’t have time to read the prior books in the series before reading this one so if I have any confusion on parts that’s why!
I kid you not this book had me in a chokehold after the FIRST TWO WORDS:m. I didn’t read the blurb because I love not knowing what I’m diving into and I’m so glad I didn’t. I almost shrieked when it began with “A baby!?”
The way Matt and Zoey trusted one another was amazing. This was a fantastic slow burn with soooo much tension.
Thank you to LNPR for the ARC!

ARC Review: Taming You by Alex Taylor 🏒
Thank you @lunaliterary.management for the opportunity, as always it’s such a great time reading ARCs !
Zoey, facing a tough time, moves in with her brother and ends up helping her best friend’s brother, Matt, navigate fatherhood after an unexpected surprise, a baby on his doorstep. 👀
Despite her growing attraction, Zoey tells herself that Matt is definitely off-limits. But with Matt’s jealous side showing up and his protective instincts kicking in, Zoey starts to question everything she thought she knew about him.
Matt never imagined being a father, but Zoey becomes his unexpected saving grace. As they spend more time together, he starts to see that maybe he’s been looking for love in all the wrong places. Will he convince Zoey to take a chance on him?
If you’re a fan of steamy romance, unexpected twists, and heartwarming moments, Taming You is a must read! 💕

ARC REVIEW
I absolutely loved this book! I literally could not put it down and read it in a day!!
Matt and Zoey are just precious; and don't get me started on little Jayden!
Zoey crashed on Matt's couch after a night out. She opens the door to head home and nearly stumbles on little Jayden lying peacefully in his car seat, right outside Matt's door.
Matt and Zoey have known each other for years but once the little man shows up their friendship takes a turn. Matt comes to depend one Zoey for help and then finds he just really wants her to be near him. Zoey can't seem to stay away.
Can these two overcome their nerves and actually talk to each other about how they feel?
Read it and find out!! You won't regret it!!

Taming you was a sweet and easy read. When trying to get their best friends together in the previous book, Zoey and Matthew end up spending a lot more time together which has Zoey reminiscing on her childhood crush on Matt, and has him thinking about his little sisters best friend as something more, but ultimately off limits. When a baby shows up on Matt’s doorstep, Zoey is his saving grace during his unexpected fatherhood. She really dove head first into coparenting Jayden, and seeing the bonding and routines form around the three of them was too cute.
The one thing I did have an issue with was the randomness of Eliza’s chapter, I understand that it’s to set up the next book, but it just seems so out of place and didn’t add anything to the story because as soon as it was over it was the epilogue.
Thank you to Alexis Taylor and Love Notes Pr for the arc in exchange for an honest review!

A friends to lovers romance where Zoey finds a baby left on the doorstep of her longtime playboy crush Matthew. Watching Zoey and Matt grow as individuals and closer to each other all while bonding over baby Jayden makes this romance so sweet. Matt slowly realizes he's had feelings for Zoey for a long time becoming possessive slightly jealously. Lots of care taking, meddling siblings, and found family friend group banter.

I really enjoyed Matt & Zoey's slow burn romance. She's best friends with his sister so they've known each other since they were kids. She crushed on him for many years, but knew he was a playboy that didn't do relationships so she kept her crush a secret.
It was clear from the beginning that they had a special connection and a friendship with a solid foundation. When Matt had a baby left on his doorstep Zoey stepped up to help right away, no hesitation. Her connection with his son had him looking at Zoey in a different way, but he considered her off limits because of her friendship with his sister.
His jealously starts to rear its head as she's dating around, and their friend group and his sisters seem to be pushing them towards one another. Their intimacy went beyond the bedroom and I enjoyed that they didn't jump right to that. However, when they did. Wowzers!
Great read! Now I need to go back and start at the beginning of the series. I can't wait to enjoy the rest of the couples stories because they were so much fun to get to know in Taming You.

*Taming You is book 4 and the final book in the Destined Love series and is an interconnected standalone. While not necessary to read books 1-3, characters and history will make more sense*
When Zoey finds a baby on her best friend's brother's door step, she's willing to help in order too not dwell on the fact she's finished college with no job and back to living with her older brother. Matt doesn't know what he'd do without Zoey's help, and as time goes on, him and his son are becoming attached, but can he prove he's finally ready to settle down?
After watching Zoey and Matt's tension across this series, we finally got their story with some twists I didn't see coming! I'm glad Matt finally realized his feelings for Zoey and proved to her that he's all in just for her. Watching him become a dad was so sweet, and he was equally sweet with Zoey. I love this little friend group, and I'm excited for not only the next series Alex has lined up, but a little sneak peek that I'm hoping turns into a series as well!

If you are a fan of single dads and friends to lovers then this is a book for you! It was well written and a very cute story! Matt becomes an insta dad and doing the best he can, Zoey is a sweetheart and steps up to help in every way. The banter between the two was great and the story line flowed really well! Alex did a great job executing the friends to lovers transition really well all while add in a baby and other curves. You can read this as a stand alone but I recommend reading as a series as the characters intertwine and make a little more sense.

Honestly, the first part of the book felt slow. Glad I pushed though! The second half of the book was great! I loved the friendships in this book. The healthy dynamics and communication was a pleasant surprise. The love between the main couple, secondary couples, and family was special.
