Incredible and eye-opening. Read this while staying in Ghana and learnt simultaneously about the differences of the countries and names of things that I saw along my journey in Ghana but did not have the name for: such as Calabash, garri, hawkers, etc. It really enriched my stay in western-africa. Will read more from this amazing woman.

I learned a lot of history from this book. So far, my favorite of Adichie's books. The storytelling and characters were very engaging.

It wasn’t the most gripping book I have ever read, but I knew nothing about Biafra so for me the book was more of an educational tool than a pleasurable read. It is very well researched and written.

A must read. A profound read. I couldn’t put this book down. It educated me. It showed me a world so different to my own. It’s a long but worth it read. I recommend reading Things Fall Apart by Achebe before reading this book as well. This author deserves so much praise.
