it jus never caught my attention. the polycule was uncomfortable to read, and the way the characters thought was too samey.. it felt like selfcest between 3 copies of the same person
too many sec scenes abd too little actual development

This was good. Not amazing but enjoyable enough. I loved the multiple povs but it was very repetitive as in the same lines or ideas were repeated constantly especially in the first 6 or 7 chapters. Because it was all in 1st person no matter who's POV we were reading, there were no distinct voices and if it were for the narrators and the name being stated at the beginning of each chapter, I wouldn't know who was who. I wish it had been 3rd person.
Other than that it's a very very slow first quarterand then a fast last quarter.

Overall though, I had fun,  I liked dynamic, and I liked that we saw the after the relationship got together part too. I'm a sucker for queer hockey romances so this would have had to have been truly terrible for me not to like it.

This one didn’t land for me as well as the first in the series. It felt unnecessarily long and there were some really repetitive parts.

Justin’s character felt like it was flirting with aromanticism more so than just having seen too many bad relationships to want one. Shawn…was kind of the support and connective tissue? He didn’t have a lot of internal character development.

The ending wasn’t very satisfying for me either. Keith
didn’t get to publicly be part of the relationship, and I can’t imagine that over time “it’s ok as long as we know the truth” will hold, especially since none of their friends even know.
they’re HFN but I don’t see it lasting into a true HEA.

CW: strong homophobia and negative parental response to coming out
