This was good. Not amazing but enjoyable enough. I loved the multiple povs but it was very repetitive as in the same lines or ideas were repeated constantly especially in the first 6 or 7 chapters. Because it was all in 1st person no matter who's POV we were reading, there were no distinct voices and if it were for the narrators and the name being stated at the beginning of each chapter, I wouldn't know who was who. I wish it had been 3rd person.
Other than that it's a very very slow first quarterand then a fast last quarter.

Overall though, I had fun,  I liked dynamic, and I liked that we saw the after the relationship got together part too. I'm a sucker for queer hockey romances so this would have had to have been truly terrible for me not to like it.

This one didn’t land for me as well as the first in the series. It felt unnecessarily long and there were some really repetitive parts.

Justin’s character felt like it was flirting with aromanticism more so than just having seen too many bad relationships to want one. Shawn…was kind of the support and connective tissue? He didn’t have a lot of internal character development.

The ending wasn’t very satisfying for me either. Keith
didn’t get to publicly be part of the relationship, and I can’t imagine that over time “it’s ok as long as we know the truth” will hold, especially since none of their friends even know.
they’re HFN but I don’t see it lasting into a true HEA.

CW: strong homophobia and negative parental response to coming out

I had some problems with this book but I ended up really enjoying it. I mean, the narration is fantastic. This most certainly would have been 3 stars had I just read the book.

My problems really come down to the fact that twice in this book, MC1 has nothing but platonic feelings for MC2 and then QUITE SUDDENLY, realizes that the MC2 is hot and that MC1 is attracted to MC2. And this happens twice (with different main characters in the MC1 and MC2 slots). And I never quite bought it. Idk. I just didn’t.

My other problem was that there were several conversations where characters started repeating themselves. Like, okay, you just said this. Are you drunk on orgasms? Is that what’s going on here?

But otherwise, I did like this. I think just as a book this is a very middle of the road book - nothing particularly special about it, one way or the other. The characters where fine. The plot was fine. The narration is perfection.

What’s better than 2 hot hockey players? 3 hot hockey players!! If all you want is a good and steamy time with a MMM menage, then look no further than this book. It’s a fun ride for sure, and well worth your time. On the downside, I can’t say it’s incredibly well-written. There’s just too much repetitive whining and ruminating - from all 3 characters!! With a different editor, this book could have easily lost 75 pages and been better off instead of worse off.
TLDR: I enjoyed it immensely, but it’s not winning any literary awards.

I wasn't vibing it. DNF 25%. While this would not be the first mmm romance I read, I just could get on the JustinxShawnxKeith ship. I didn't approve. I hate every moment of them inching closer as a throuple. It lacked the very delicate romance needed for a threeway shipping. We started out this book from Justin's POV, so he was the one I connected to first. Seeing him heart broken at his crush, Shawn, cried another man's name while being intimate with him was good drama and immediately had me in Justin's corner. But the song and dance after that? Not good enough for my Justin. My man deserved to be wooed and pursued. And neither man offered him more that a fledgling effort. When it became obvious that Justin was going to accept this medicore treatment I bailed. Sexy things will probably happen, but I need more heart.

I spent the whole book just waiting for it to be done. There was nothing particularly wrong with it, but it also didn't have a plot and wasn't interesting.
