After the first Agathas book, I was excited to see more of Castle Cove and all its mysteries. I wasn’t disappointed by the sequel, where we learn much more about Mona Moody and her mysterious death after a brutal attack on a peer during a school dance. I love Iris and Alice and the assortment of characters who help them as they investigate. I did feel like most of the twists in this one were predictable but it was still a fun story. Thank you so much to NetGalley and Random House Children’s for the eARC in return for an honest review!

i love mysteries that tie in past events to the current mystery so this book was perfect for me. the plot was fun and fast paced, although it was hard to keep up with it at times, but i did enjoy the way the secrets from both the present and the past were revealed. i also liked how all the characters were used and played small roles in solving the mystery. some parts of the plot, eg the hospital room and yacht club did seem a little unrealistic, but otherwise it was an amazing book and i loved the story

I found this book to be inspiring. Even though these two girls were still in highschool and no one believed in them they still accomplished what they wanted to all along, the mystery of the book!
