This book really had a lot of moving pieces & I loved it. I didn’t get confused by who was who & what is what, it was easy to understand. Easy to read with complex storyline. That’s hard to do, and I’m extremely surprised that the second book is better than the first.

I really want to read more YA mystery books. I’m so intrigued! Also, as someone who is good at solving these things and while highlighting the beginning half way through, I already had a hint of it. Now I am intrigued how both mysteries played out. One I figured out just my the first chapter, and the other had me stumped. I did enjoy even with my hint, I liked how it ended. I hope for a 3rd one, maybe 2 povs again and different places but they somehow interact.

The Agatha’s #1 was a 5 star for me so it was disappointing that book 2 didn’t deliver the same level of wow. This book is darker in themes and more new Adult than young adult in my opinion. Please check content warnings there are numerous.

This is such an amazing read. I loved the twists and how the authors just write the details needed so perfectly.
You can see how between the two books Alice has had such a lovely character development, I'm excited to see if there will be another book uncovering anymore of the mysteries surrounding Castle Cove!
