3.5 Stars - At first I thought Joe was a jerk, and Manny only wanted a conquest. As the story progressed we see their depths and feelings for each other. Having the two hate crimes portrayed brought a strong message. I'm not always up for dealing with such issues in my romance books, especially in short stories, but it is one that needs attention.

It was a nice Story, but rather confusing. There was a lot going on and not much was really explained. However, the Story voiced some very important issues too, so three stars seemed to fit.

I enjoyed this story, and all of the people who showed up at the diner. While it was fun to get glimpses of people and be told they have their own books, i have no desire to read them.

The scene in the diner seemed very much like a television scene. Entertaining, but not my usual fare
