I genuinely loved reading this comic. I haven't watched 'The Clone Wars', which the storyline of this comic was originally written for, so I wasn't entirely familiar with some of the background characters, but having seen 'Attack of the Clones' I was able to fully enjoy it nonetheless. Seeing Darth Maul go up against Palpatine, Dooku and Grevious was a bit of a 'nerd-gasm' moment and Maul's relationship with these characters, after being replaced by Dooku as Palpatine's apprentice was a lot of fun to watch play out. The final scene with Maul's mother was a particular highlight and brought a real human side to Maul's character that I haven't seen before. I'll definitely be watching the series on Disney+ when it's launched.

Yes, I’m logging comics on here! This one was a reread for me, and it was just as good all these years later, especially now that season 7 of the clone wars exists. Does a great job filling in the gaps for maul between the lawless and the siege of mandalore.

This isn't a fantastic comic, by any means. But I do enjoy the middle-part of Maul's journey, and there's some very nice artwork. Maul's complete and utter desperation for companionship in the only way he seems to understand it, a master and student, is tragic.

Cullen Bunn definitely knows how to write dark characters. Would enjoy more Maul stories.

This needs to be adapted into a mini-arc by the animators of Clone Wars or made into a short film because this was one of the fastest-paced and well written Star Wars stories ever.

I read this one slightly out of context. Apparently this is adaptation of non-aired Clone Wars animated series episodes. And it shows to a degree. If you are not aware of the events from the Clone Was series (which was the case with me) you 'll just feel like you were late for movies and missed first half an hour. But you get acquainted with the story pretty fast. And in a manner that you will feel compelled to go through Clone Wars series in the first place.

Apparently Dart Maul managed to return from the dead and create his underground criminal network linking various existing mercenary (Mandalorians among them, infamous Death Watch in particular) and criminal groups (Black Sun syndicate being one of them, which is sort of an irony since he was responsible for shattering their activities couple of years earlier). But Maul is first and foremost driven by revenge against the Dart Sidious because of his treacherous actions against the Dark-side Witches of Dathomir.

Volume is full of action in space and on ground but it feels rushed. If DH publishing had more time this story could be more developed across at least one more volume. But things are as they are I guess.

Artistically volume follows the look and feel of Clone Wars series for some elements (i.e. Mandalorians and Dathomir Nightbrothers) but for others it aims for more mature look (like Count Dooku, Sidious and Jedi's involved). Overall volume art is very good.

Recommended to all fans of Star Wars universe.

amei essa história e, como sempre, o Maul se mostra um personagem mega interessante e cheio de camadas (cujas quais simplesmente não existem nos filmes). e a história no final foi tão
