Such an interesting and emotional exploration of mortality and how we move on after tragedy strikes. For a book that heavily focuses on death I found it to be quite uplifting and inspiring. I really enjoyed the format and perspective of the novel as well, coming from a journalistic a background. 3.5/5 stars

Interesting insight into the lives of those who have suffered. More of a personal perspective with some interesting interviews. I did find it hard to get through maybe because I had read a number of books of this nature previously.

So poignant, yet written in such a grounded and accessible way. Powerful interviews with people who have experienced devastating and shocking challenges and losses, and with people whose role is to be present at some of these times. A true testament to how strong the human spirit can be, and that there can always be grains of joy and mountains of growth to be found after experiencing something traumatic.
