2.5 ⭐️ I loved the first two, but this felt rushed, it felt like a lot of loose ends were still there, the romantic tension came to a true letdown in the spice department. I don’t even know still what the lake of the lake even does. The first half dragged and then the second half just didn’t make enough sense.
I gave four stars to each of the other books so I’m bummed to give this a 2.5
Also the FMC was just really a complete idiot and then did a complete 360 from “I’m going to slit your throat and my fathers throat” to the next paragraph being like “never mind I love them”
Like wtf? She’s a chick that grew up in LA and worked in a bookstore to less than a year later just wanting to Willy Nilly kill her dad and not question why she’s working for the Pendragons?
Oh and then the MMC… there was no love. It was all “I’m sure you want to fuck me cause I’m hot and I’ve had a million women” to literally one paragraph of him being sweet. And then the more boring spice and then BOOK OVER LETS EAT SOME CAKE WITH MY DAD

Ah loved the third book the most, where Nia and Talan become closer 🥰 I was expecting them to be mates but either way happy they ended up together 🤩
As for the rest of the story, I liked how fast paced this was compared to the previous two. I felt like it was all more cohesive, maybe with knowing the world more it was easier to digest and breeze through than the other books.
I could’ve used more tension between Nia and Talan when the secrets were out and the ending felt a little abrupt to be honest but overall it was a cute read. Not my favorite but memorable!

This was a great conclusion of the series! You get all the answers, it just takes time and a lot of confusion. But att least it wasn't predictable in its writing only maby the concepts. The journey was enjoyable. Some missed opportunities for the story to be great, I imagined a lot of senarois or additional descriptions that would have made the story better. More spy stuff, more tension and yerning, action, dilemmas, just more, I wanted more...deeper connection and feelings, not surfes leval descriptions of somting in a whimsical way.
The series are great over all, just some disconnect between the first and second books. love them all in different ways.
