A fun series. Liked the dragons and Talan has a interesting story. The 2 magic from nina and talan combining is very fun to read. The fight scenes are a little bit chaotic with very sudden endings. But overall good fantasy series that is not to complicated

Definitely my fave book of the 3 but the trilogy as a whole wasn’t my fave.

I feel like book 1 & book 2 could have been 1x book - with her main backstory and her then going to be Talan’s mistress

Book 1 just felt like the author had SO many different ideas and chucked them together: Fae, Arthur & Merlin retelling, spies, guns, being based in England vs France vs fae world?? I could not get used to them talking about real world places with Fae etc (especially as I live in Cornwall lol)

Then I feel like book 2 could have dived more into Talan & Nia actually having to fight against each-other/ be lovers to enemies after he found out everything to build that tension more, both POVs to get that struggle for both of them. Then book 3 being them coming together to defeat the baddies.

Also feel like the death of Auberon was a bit brushed over.. they flew around on dragons for a bit then he just disappears?? I was in the last 30 minutes of the book and was starting to think there must be another book because they surely couldn’t wrap everything up but apparently they did??!!

And how did King Mordred go from being this evil king willing to kill anything and anyone to having a party with a load of people he’s never met before just because they’re friends with his daughter
