4.5/5. Definitely a page turner. Not quite as good as the first one but still really enjoyed it. Interesting plot. Odd that Hodges wasn’t really mentioned until almost halfway through.

This is one of my favourites so far, wat better than Mr Mercedes
4.5 ⭐
So much better than the first book of the trilogy, [b:Mr. Mercedes|18775247|Mr. Mercedes (Bill Hodges Trilogy, #1)|Stephen King|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1468705326l/18775247._SY75_.jpg|26680281]. I would've given it 5 stars if it wasn't for the next book. I don't really understand why the majority seen to dislike this volume.
I may be in the minority in this regard but I love it when King does the non-linear narration and the first part of this book was like that.
I thoroughly enjoyed this volume, Morris' story is a lot like [b:Misery|10614|Misery|Stephen King|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1554220401l/10614._SY75_.jpg|3230869] and there was even a direct reference to the story too.
My favorite characters were Pete and Morris but while Bill annoyed me in the first book and still did a little up to some point, I liked him a bit more in this book.
Unlike [b:Mr. Mercedes|18775247|Mr. Mercedes (Bill Hodges Trilogy, #1)|Stephen King|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1468705326l/18775247._SY75_.jpg|26680281] ending, the ending of this book was unpredictable for the most part.
