I haven’t read this book since I was a kid, but it made me smile and captured my interest just the same. For its time, it’s a great commentary on friendship and loyalty while also being upbeat and fun. Some of the jokes haven’t aged well and it reflects some outdated values pretty strongly, but the overall moral is still very relevant. I adore this book.

First audiobook I've listened to fully. Story was hard to follow at some points but this may be because I lost focus a few times. Detailed descriptions really set the scene and allowed an understanding of each character.
