4.5/5. Some less than stellar flash back chapters and not so great set up chapters held this back from full stars. This was some fantastic revenge and confrontation reading that continued to have great buddy moments and main cast expanding another couple of characters that were very interesting. Plus the Nate is hellequin thing being public is fun, the trope of the secret identify finally be widely known and how it affects the world around him is something I enjoy a lot.

This was a very good adventure, and I'm hesitant to give it anything less than 5 stars. It is more of a 4.5, however, mostly because it is the setup book for the finale of the series. Two more books for this story line, and certainly this is going to be an important step in the plot, but I don't see it standing as well if read out of context from the rest. Otherwise, a great build-up into what is coming.

I did enjoy this but I find the flashbacks frustrating, it just didn't feel like the past, other than a reference to a carriage there's not much to differentiate victorian London from modern London and it just didn't feel that authentic.

4,75 stars for this one!
I once again dis love it - the characters have definitely grown on me a lot! I wish I wouldn't have to part...

1/4 star is missing for some fight scenes that have felt a little too drawn out for me - while so far I loved them, here they went on so long I got a bit bored in the end. As action scenes are supposed to be the most exciting parts (at least for me), I found that a bit sad. It was only a few scenes, and it wasn't overly much more than I would have found perfect, so I'm definitely nearer the 5* than the 4*.

Also I missed some of the major, important new characters (especially one) introduced in book four. I am still wondering how things are looking in their lives...

Otherwise once again a really great, entertaining, action packed and fast paced adventure with characters I adore!

WHEN WILL THESE BITCHES RECOGNIZE WHO NATE IS!!!! #ThugLife
Such fools. I swear. You keep harassing this man, harassing and murdering his friends, and then are sore losers when he kicks your ass. WHY EVEN START! The rule of the street: Dont start nuffin, wont be nuffin. SMDH.

This series continues to be a fun read, action packed and quick paced. It has been fun as more and more of the world is revealed with each book.
