I thought I would not rate this book, since I started skipping paragraphs but I don't know.. It was just like reading a book written by a 13 year old. The author had the idea, some parts were OK, but it just did not flow at all. And I was sad that it ended on a sort of cliff hanger. If I knew I would have not tried to finish it.

I adored this single parent romance story, especially since both the H and h were raising their daughters with minimal help from their exes. This book had me laughing out loud on numerous occasions. Things just kept going hilariously wrong for the heroine Rachel and always in front of a man she'd crushed on since she was a teenager. Lenox was that completely desirable, alpha, brooding, hot "zaddy" that all the PTA moms couldn't help but drool over. But he had a past that he wanted to keep hidden. One small mistake on Rachel's part took their entire relationship down and revealed something that Lenox spent many years trying to keep hidden. This book ended with an amazing cliffhanger and I can't wait to jump into the second half of the duet!

Heartthrob is book one in the Heart Duet and I truly LOVED this book!! A single mom/single dad romance that had me laughing out loud one minute and then had my heart was jumping out of my chest the next! Rachel and Lennox are amazing characters, their banter, the chemistry, everything about them completely sucked me into this story and I could not put it down!! Magan Vernon has nailed this story, these characters..everything about this book is FANTASTIC!! The cliffhanger...GAH!! I need the next book immediately!

I loved this book. The plot was great. This is the first book I have ever read by this author but I am definitely going to grab some of her other work!

We all dream of what would happen if we met our teen heartthrob when we grew up. Here is your chance for that experience. It isn’t going to be a smooth ride full of flowers and sunshine.

Lennox and Rachel have things in their pasts that make them hesitant to get to know each other. He is standoffish and brash and that instantly rubs her the wrong way. She just wants to make it through the day and take care of her daughter.

This book is full of awkwardness, laughs and will make you realize we are all just trying to get by. I loved Ariana and Juniper. They are little girls after my own heart. I can’t wait to read Lennox’s story.
