Everyone needs to read this intense novel! I could not put this down. The authors writing combined with the narrators personality made this one of my favourite reads of the year. Anyone who loved gone girl and the handsmaid tail will love this.

By far the best book I have read in a long time. I cannot recommend it enough for something different. I sat down to read a couple of chapters and ended up not moving until it was finished.
This is a book that I got off the new shelf at the library, which I usually don't do much. It was a compelling story that I buzzed through, but depressing. I know a book can be depressing, yet enjoyable, but this one was different. I guess you'd have to read it to understand. Then again, maybe others would feel differently.
Chilling and suspenseful, I found it hard to put this book down as I watched empty-nester Marta come undone when when she ceases taking her medication and becomes obssessed with what may be memories, but may just as easily be hallucinations.
This short, but gripping book reminded me very strongly of "The Yellow Wallpaper" an extraordinary short story published in 1892 and an early work of American feminist literature, but also has echoes of "Room".
Good, but not great, it has a couple of holes I struggled with, but on the whole a very engaging and thought provoking read as we watch Marta struggle with the expectations of her family at the same time as she struggles with her demons.

Interesting book, i cant tell if she was actually crazy or if she was telling the truth... i still think about it
This book was okay. I didn't love it or hate it per say. I thought it was well written, and that's good for an author I haven't read anything from. At times I was confused, but I'm pretty sure that's what I was suppose to be. I would pick it up if you want something different but don't be going into it thinking its going to be the best book ever.
I wanted more from the ending. I wanted a more fully fleshed out conclusion . It felt like the book ran out of time and just skipped to the end.
